Camping in the Big Lake area and Casa Malapais RV Park

The next day we camped at our favorite spot in the Big Lake area.
Addie is loving editing her pictures!  She went crazy over the "heart" shaped flowers!  Papa was inside figuring everything out.  He has to get the heater to work so we can stay out here tonight!  It's going to be cold!
We ate lunch, played horse shoes and music and had a chill day!
I was hoping to have a fire that night, so we gathered some wood and I moved some of the sooty wood around in the fire pit.  Then we went on a walk to see what we could see....
Addie had a "meme" feature on her picture editor, lol!
Someone made this cool TeePee!  After our walk we came back and the camper's battery was dead.  It was something we plugged in to be able to use the heater.  So we decided to head down the mountain to Eagar and stay in an RV park until we could figure out the heater situation.  We started off down the road.  We can't go on a trip without a cow encounter!  So here there were.  They saw us coming and were like, "Let's cross right when they get to us!"
And that was our cow parade.
We went to Casa Malapais and were so happy with the accommodations!  We got to take showers!  Yea!  Everything was so nice and clean and warm!  Everyone there was super nice and they kept saying, "I hear it's going to be 27 degrees tonight."  Good thing we have a heater tonight! They also had a HUGE selection of videos to watch as well, but we had brought our own.
We got comfy and watched some Little House on the Prairie and V for Vendetta! That night we were so hot!  It doesn't take much to heat up that little camper.  There was condensation on the inside of the  camper that we had to wipe down.  I think with just our body heat we would have been fine.  When we finally ventured out, no less than 5 people told us that it got down to 24 degrees that night!  One guy showed us the ice that came out of his hose!  It was pretty cool!  We met a lot of people there.  Super friendly!
