To further enhance our adventures, we got this "Little Guy!" We got it at Tom's Camperland (http://www.tomscamperland.com/).
We wanted something that was just a little more than a tent. This was perfect!
We got the T@B ~ Outback edition (https://tab.nucamprv.com/).
It has a higher clearance and tougher tires (that's girl talk for I'm not sure of the details). Jeff wanted the rugged outside and I wanted the cute "homey" interior, so we had to special order it. It also comes in different colors. Jeff wanted black but I wanted this cute retro red! It took 6 weeks for it to be built and delivered.
We waited till after Labor Day weekend to take our guy on an adventure!
Our favorite place to adventure is the Big Lake area. We went down a dirt road that said:
"RV and trailers not recommended "
(that's just a suggestion, right?)! We went 9 miles down the dirt road to camp on the East Fork of the Black River.
Jeff's inside trying to start up the refrigerator.
Everyone always asks us where we got our chairs. They are so comfortable!
We went crazy in Camping World and bought all kinds of stuff for our little guy!
Let's tour the inside!
We have an air conditioner, a heater and a TV (it does not play blue rays as we discovered) and the color goes in and out, but we're camping! Who cares! LOL!We have a "wet bath". It has a toilet and a shower. We haven't showered in it yet but when we do, we will have to sit on the toilet to shower. We have a sink, a 2 burner gas stove and a refrigerator. We also have a radio that hooks up to blue tooth so we can play our jams. Ha! Mostly we listen to audio books!
We also have a table, but we put it outside. There is a place to set it up! The windows have day screens and black out night screens!
When we watch a movie or play music, it's like surround sound with the speakers behind us! It has cute little reading lights and tons of storage! The cushions fold down into one huge bed! It's not very comfortable to sleep on so we are working on ways to fix that! It has a fan on the ceiling that we use at night for "white" noise! A total must for us!
We also have a screen door! We are so comfortable in our little guy! Just gotta work on the bed comfort.
We bought an awning and were so excited to get it up! Can you see the table in the back? It rained that night and we didn't put our chairs up. It kept the part of the chairs that were under it dry though! Ha!
We don't normally plan on staying in a proper camp site, but I really wanted to camp by the river. The bathrooms were a bonus (if you like spiders, flys and the smell of poop).
That's our camp site. I used the little red table and the water bottle to take our selfies! Doh!
The next morning, after packing everything up, we headed out for adventure of the day. It was 63 degrees at 9:30 am. Glorious! As we were driving out, we saw a doe! A deer, a female deer! It was just in the road looking at us! I didn't have my camera ready!! Ugh! Then we saw 4 (FOUR!) turkeys running on the side of the road! I did have my camera out but they were too fast!
There are a couple of cute little one lane bridges that cross over the river.
A buck in the road!
Finally, I got one!
Now on to the Crossover Trail at Mount Baldy!
